Johnson City: John N. Noce, 78, passed away May 10, 2025. He is survived by his beloved family, his wife of 35 years Donna Noce; children John A. (Theresa) Noce, William (Rachel) Noce, Vicky Soulsby (Ron) Rought and Kurt (Alita) Soulsby; grandchildren Anthony (Alli), Paige, Dylan, Emily, Cody, Heather, Kalvin, Shannin, Klayton and Deanna; great-granddaughters Elayna and Emilia; niece Nicole Angelo; nephew Michael Pullano; and his special cat Mia. Preceding him in death were his parents John and Victoria (Barra) Noce and sister Ann Marie (Donald) Pullano.
John worked at a number of area restaurants before becoming the chef at Uncle Tony's in downtown Binghamton, a position he held for many years, until his retirement. Not only did he enjoy cooking professionally, he loved to cook for family events and his friends. He was an avid fan of both the New York Yankees and the New York Giants, and enjoyed both hunting and fishing. He was a dedicated "sports dad" known to all as "Papa Noce", especially by the U-E wrestling team and their families.
John loved his family deeply and his warm personality will be missed by all who knew him.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 am Monday June 2, 2025 at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 300 Odell Avenue Endicott. Entombment will follow Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family will greet friends at the church Monday June 2 from 10:00-10:50 am.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the B.C. Humane Society in his memory.
