John "Jack" Yeszkonis Jr. Obituary

It is with the saddest of news to announce that on April 13th, Jack passed away from a Heart Attack, peacefully in his home. He was 56. Jack was predeceased by his parents Marion and John Anthony Yeszkonis Sr. He had 2 brothers, William Braniff(Sally, spouse) and Robert Braniff. He is survived by his loving girlfriend since 2015, Bev Leavens and his 4 children from his marriage to Susan Yeszkonis, sons John A Yeszkonis iii, Tommy Yeszkonis and Jason Yeszkonis and daughter Jessica Yeszkonis McCormick and her husband Ricky and more friends than anyone could name.  Jack was born in January of 1965 in Rahway, New Jersey. He went to school in Iselin, New Jersey where he grew up. In 1993 he purchased his piece of land in Brackney, Pennsylvania where he spent the rest of his 28 years building his own slice of paradise in the woods at the top of the mountain. At the time of his death he was happily employed with Advanced Photonic Sciences in Choconut, Pennsylvania. Through the years Jack had many nicknames, some of them being Son, Dad, Fish, BackRoad Jack, Jack-of-all-Trades,  MacGyver, Live-in-Love and Friend.  To Jack, no one was ever a stranger but a friend he hadn’t met yet. He touched the lives of his friends in such a special way. He enjoyed activities such as fishing, hunting, Harleys, cars, animals, building and especially jamming music sessions with his friends and family. Jack would not wish for us to be sad, instead he wished for the people who cared about him to gather together and celebrate his life and share all the ways in which he touched our lives. To honor this wish his children are planning to hold a memorial on Saturday, June 12th beginning at the Brackney Inn at 1pm, which was his favorite watering hole from the moment he moved to the area. Afterwards his family will be inviting everyone to stop back at BackRoad Jack’s bar, to raise a glass, toast, and have a good old fashioned jam you all know he would love!
