Keith Dorn died unexpectedly February 28, 2025 at his home. He is survived by his children Samuel, Autumn and Forrest; his parents Ralph and Anne, brother Rick and his beloved dogs Hitch and Luna. Keith graduated with a Bachelors from Texas A&M, and took a Master's class at Binghamton University. Keith was a software engineer for Baytek. He achieved his dream of living in a log home in the woods - "Cabana Del Sol Poniente"- (Cabin of the Setting Sun), which brought him much joy. He loved singing and playing piano and guitar. One of his favorite places was cooking for family and friends in his dream kitchen.
A memorial service will be held 10:00 am Friday March 7 at the Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home, 483 Chenango St. Binghamton. The family will greet friends at the funeral home from 9:00-10:00 am. Please sign his online guestbook.
KEITH'S MACARONI AND CHEESE
Cook 1lbs dry pasta for 8-9 minutes.
Salt and butter noodles to taste. Combine cheese sauce and noodles in large oven safe bowl. Sprinkle left over cheese on top and bake at 350-375 for 10-15 minutes
Keith's tips:
- Keep some of the water that you boiled the noodles in to add to the cheese sauce if you need to thin it out. The sauce should look too thin while over heat in the pot.
- DO NOT OVERHEAT cheese sauce, it is very easy to do. You want to have it on the lowest heat that will still melt the cheese you're adding and keep it moving and being whisked very often.
- Only add about 1/4th of the sauce at the time. Don't add it all or it can be too much, just add until its enough for you."
Then enjoy.
