Kimberly Jones took her last breath on December 28th , 2021. She passed peacefully at her cozy cabin home in Gillette, PA at the age of 57 with her beloved person, Mark Cottom. Kim was beautiful, smart and funny. She was quick with a smile and story and preferred to focus on the pleasant parts of life. She absolutely adored her 12 littles (grandchildren) spoiling each from the day they were born. A joyous entertainer for any occasion, she loved to host her family and friends from her kitchen around the fire place. She would also get fired up around the house, cheering on Villanova basketball and the Yankees, while pulling out fresh cookies from the oven. She could read a book a day, and sing like a bird. Traveling was her passion; Ireland, New York City, and Europe were few of many. Our lives are lived through stories and boy could Kim tell a story...changing it accordingly depending on who she was telling it to;) Kimberly was a fighter who did not go quietly into that good night. Quiet just wasn’t her style. The family would like to thank Kim’s entire ENT team at Geisinger, especially Dr. Phillip Pellitteri, Dr. Nicholas Purdy and Dr. Thomas Gergel who took tremendous care of her, as well as the entire nursing staff including Brian and the two Matts, who she considered her bffs for life.
Kim is survived by her son Joel Bush (Carly Hull), daughter Allison Orland(Josh) daughter Annie Jennings (Wes) son Brett Jones (Kanesha Smith), her parents Jack and Lois Tubaugh, and her siblings Kristen Esler (Matthew) David L. Short (Eileen) Mary Kay Murphy (Patrick) Lori Tubaugh-Ellefsen(Karl), Martha Tubaugh and the rest of her large loving family. Kim was Predeceased by father David Short, brother Terry Tubaugh, and husband David Brown.
Funeral services will be at The First Presbyterian Church , 2 Main St, Johnson City NY 13790. Calling hours will be held from 2:00-4:00 on Monday January 3rd with a funeral service immediately following.
