Leon Gucwa

Leon Gucwa, beloved husband, father, grandpa, father-in-law, brother-in-law, uncle, friend, son, brother, cousin, and mail carrier passed away unexpectedly on June 11, 2020.
Leon, born September 20th 1948, son of Leo and Charlotte Gucwa, touched many people’s lives with his quick humor and brilliant mind, including his wife, Diane, his four daughters; Rachel, Margaret (Patrick Natale), Joanne (Eric Cross), and Sarah (Daniel Furgal), his lovely granddaughter, Cecilia, other cherished family, and dear friends (John, Carol, Ricky and Nicky).
His family gave him incredible amounts of fulfillment, joy, and happiness.  His life was rich with interests, passions, and wisecracking jokes.  He is loved and missed tremendously.
To best honor and cherish Leon, please go outside, plant flowers, drink good coffee, play all types of music on the nicest speakers you can afford, read often, never stop learning, use history as a guide for the present, support civil rights for all people, love animals, laugh at cat videos, appreciate the beauty and uniqueness of the handmade, surround yourself with art, exercise regularly, cook with lots of spices, buy or find a lottery ticket, say the most inappropriate, yet accurate things at the wrong time, keep finding the humor in even the darkest situations and go enjoy yourself a delicious hotdog.
