Lillian Doolittle, 79, of Johnson City, peacefully passed into the arms of her Savior on August 3, 2025 at Mercy House. She is survived by her beloved family, her husband of 60 years Mark and their two sons Mark (Karen) and Paul; grandchildren Audrey, Hudson, Marah (Kwanze Wright), Doolittle, Lyn-Z (Terrance) King; great-grandchildren Terrance King, Jr., Teralyn King and Fae-Lynn Ray; nieces and nephews Paula Ernst, Debbie Nash, John Bennett, Tammy Conklin, Mimi King and Tony Olsa; brother-in-law Joseph Doolittle and sister-in-law Frances Olsa. She was preceded in death by her parents Anthony and Josephine Olsa; sister Marie (and husband Fran) Conklin; brother Paul Olsa; brother-in-law Frank Doolittle; her parents-in-law Ralph Doolittle, Anna Doolittle and Ruth Doolittle.
A native of Johnson City, Lillian was a graduate of Johnson City High School, where she later worked as an administrative secretary. After retiring from her job at Johnson City High School she moved to Arlington, TX and worked for L3 Communications before returning home to Johnson City.
Lillian was the most wonderful wife a husband could ask for and a devoted mother and grandmother, not only to her children and grandchildren, but to countless others in the community, whom she met while supporting her family in their school and community activities She will be deeply missed.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Saturday August 9 at the First Presbyterian Church of Johnson City, 2 Main St. Johnson City, with the Rev. Robert T. Peak officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm Friday at the Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home, 483 Chenango St. Binghamton.
