Lillian Marie Lockett 78, of Johnson City, NY passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior on May 11, 2025. Lillian was greeted into eternity by those who preceded her including her husband of 37 years, George Lockett, parents Ray and Jean Merritt and brother Ray Merritt Jr. Lillian is survived by daughters, Shelly Hutchko (Michael) and Jami Brower (Scott); her grandchildren Tara Terry (Jerod),Taylor North (Daniel), Isaiah Hutchko (Dori), Rylee Brower (Riley Finn), Bailey Brower and Kenzie Brower. She also leaves behind 7 great-grandchildren. Lillian is also survived by her sisters Rebecca Manning (Lowell), Colleen Krashesky (Alan) and Jenifer Mallon, as well as many nieces and nephews who were so special to her.
Lillian was incredibly gifted with creative abilities, being well known for her award winning costume design. She made hundreds of beautifully intricate dance costumes, each one a unique design that she would often construct in a single day. She was fondly remembered by so many…whether it was for her famously tight French braids that you could wear for days, or her soft heart and willingness to help in every way possible. Though her absence will be felt by so many, we have the assurance of an eternity together.
To honor her wishes, there will be no services.
Instead…live with compassion, love big and extend grace. And in honor of Lillian, create something beautiful.
