Marcia L. Shuman, 94, died unexpectedly March 9, 2022. Marcia is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Danny and Susan Shuman of Portland, OR and Andy and Nancy Shuman of Vestal; her grandchildren David Shuman, Andrea Shuman-Arevalo and Katie Shuman; great-grandchildren Phoenix and Gabriel; nephews Jonathan Charles Fox and Harry Shuman and partner Aaron Wade, who were an important part of Marcia's life, many other nieces, nephews and cousins; sister-in-law Sylvia Shuman, dear friends Helen Salm, Art and Suzanne Siegel, Mary McIntyre and Elizabeth Rappaport. Marcia was predeceased by her beloved husband George, her parents Arthur and Helen Fox and her brother Matthew Fox. Marcia will be remembered for her stylish appearance throughout life and for being a gracious hostess. She was a lifelong member of Temple Israel, the Temple Israel Sisterhood and Hadassah. Marcia had a deep love for dogs and with George helped raise dogs for the Guiding Eyes for the Blind. She also enjoyed the many winters she spent with George at their home in Arizona. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday at Temple Israel, 47373 Deerfield Place, Vestal. Burial will follow in Westlawn Cemetery, Johnson City. There are no calling hours.
