Marian S. Jacobs

Marian S. Jacobs, 94, passed away peacefully March 28, 2025. She is predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Russell Jacobs and her daughter Robbin Jacobs Harding. Marian is survived by her daughter Penny (Donald) Gerst; granddaughters Mary Jo Fernald and Andrealee (Jamie) Scott; two great- great-grandchildren Austin Fernald and Kolten Scott and a special caregiver Lisa Hall. Marian was the best mother and grandmother anyone could ever hope for. She poured her heart into her family, always putting her children and grandchildren first, and her warmth extended far beyond her immediate family. Marian worked in the Chenango Forks school cafeteria for 50 years, touching the lives of countless children. She cherished time spent with family, shopping and lunch dates. Growing up she enjoyed golfing, bowling and singing in several choirs.

A memorial service will be held 2:30 pm Saturday, April 12 at the North Fenton United Methodist Church, 5984 Rte 79 Chenango Forks. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, please make a gift to the American Cancer Society in her memory.
