Marie Anna (Butz) Loibl

Marie Anna Loibl, a resident of Johnson City and formerly of Munich, Germany died on June 2, 2025. She was 94. Marie was born on July 29, 1930 and was the daughter of the late Jakob and Anna (Klausner) Butz. She emigrated to the US in 1961. In the early 1980’s to the late 1990’s she assisted her husband in operating a small restaurant and motel in the hamlet of Masonville, NY. Marie also enjoyed being at home, cooking, listening to classical music and playing her harmonica on special occasions. In her early years she enjoyed Figure Skating in the winter. Marie is survived by her husband of 68 years, Joseph Loibl, son Robert (Janet) and 4 grandchildren; Robert Loibl Jr, Rebecca Loibl, Robert Small, Lorelei Small. She was predeceased by a daughter Karolina Small and also a brother Ignatz Butz, and a sister Lisa Bauer.
