Mary Jane Drooney

Mary Jane Drooney, passed away peacefully March 9, 2025. She was predeceased by her mother Margaret Ruane Drooney, her father Frederick Drooney, her brother Robert Drooney, nephew Bobbie, grandparents Catherine and Edward Ruane, uncles H. Gerard Ruane, Edward Ruane and her faithful companions Muffin, Tennie and Furry. She is survived her nieces Margaret,  Anna and Ellen, nephew John, step-nieces and nephew Katherine, Robin and Randy. Mary Graduated from Central High School, worked as a bookkeeper at Grand Union for 10 years and then was employed at Binghamton Savings Bank and after 28 years of service she retired from the State of NY, City Court of  Binghamton.

Mary Jane was past secretary and Regent of Catholic Daughters of America, Binghamton Court, past President and secretary of the Catholic Womens Club and a member of the Ladies of Charity.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 am Friday March 14 at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 801 Main St. Vestal. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy  may be made to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital or the Broom County Humane Society. Services provided through the Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home, 483 Chenango St. Binghamton.
