Mary Louise Pobocek, 94, formerly of Binghamton passed away Monday August 14, 2023 at our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. She was born in Binghamton, daughter of Leon and Dorothy Sines. Mary formerly worked at Endicott-Johnson Shoe Corp. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joseph Pobocek, Sr. and son Joseph Pobocek, Jr. She is survived by her children, Joanne Krysczunas, Dorothy Pobocek, Kevin Pobocek, Dee (Edward) Rinker, and Keith (Tina) Pobocek; 12 grandchildren Anthony Pobocek, Timothy Jason Candela, Kevin Pobocek, Jr., Kyle Pobocek, Lynette Busquet, Jason (Rachel) Rinker, Edward Rinker, Jr. Lacey Rinker, Cassandra (Thomas) Shelton, Kristena Barnes and Cassandra Pobocek; numerous great-grandchildren and a special friend Richard Porter. Mary's family is deeply grateful to the staff at Riverview Nursing Home in Owego for the care and compassion they provide to Mary during her stay there.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday August 23 at the Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home, 483 Chenango St. Binghamton. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Following the funeral she will be buried in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City.
