Michael T. Chalker

   
Michael T. Chalker, 55, went to be with the Lord November 10, 2021 at his home, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his beloved family, his wife Annette; his children Michael (Jackie) Clague, Ashley Chalker and Stephen Chalker; his mother Mary Chalker; grandchildren Juliana Clague, Ariana Chalker and Thomas Clague; siblings Scott (Mikki) Chalker and Ronnette Councilman; a special aunt Theresa Burkhardt; mother-in-law Geraldine McEvoy; father-in-law Donald Martone, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He was predeceased by his father-in-law William McEvoy.
 
Michael was a devoted member of the Tabernacle United Methodist Church where he played drums in the church band. He loved music, singing and dancing, and was an amazing drummer. He was a devoted NY Giants fan and enjoyed playing poker with his friends and family. He could fix anything and was always happy to help anyone in need of his skills. He made his living as a driver and enjoyed driving and going on road trips. He was a long time member of the American Legion Post 1254 where he tended bar for many years. Most of all he was a devoted son, husband, father and grandfather. 
 
A memorial service will be held 4:00 pm Saturday Nov. 20, at the Tabernacle United Methodist Church, 83 Main St. Binghamton. The family will receive friends at the church from 3:00-3:50 pm. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Cancer Society in recognition of their special assistance during Mike's illness.
