Nancy J. (Sawyer) Devine

Nancy J. Devine, 87, was called home to the Lord June 27, 2024. She is survived by her son James P. Devine; her siblings David (Charlotte) Sawyer, Judy (Mark) Enman, Margaret (Brian) Williams; sister-in-law Gail Sawyer; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Karen Sawyer and brother Samuel Sawyer. Nancy graduated from the Binghamton City Hospital School of Nursing and was a Registered Nurse at UHS, retiring in 2000, after over 40 years of service. In retirement she was a dedicated volunteer for Meals-on-Wheels for over 10 years.  She was a longtime member of the Main St. Baptist Church in Binghamton. Nancy enjoyed crossword puzzles, taking walks, gardening, flowers and spending time with her friends.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 noon Monday at the Central Baptist Church, 1606 Rte 12, Binghamton. Burial will follow in West Hill Cemetery, Sherburne, NY. The family will greet friends at the church from 11:00-11:45 am. There will be a nurse honor guard service at 11:50 am.
