Norma Elliott went home to be with her Lord and Savior on May 16, 2025. She was predeceased by her parents, Winston Davis and Myrtle Rose Davis Pritchard; her brother Cary Davis; and her husband Ashton Rawles Elliott. Norma is survived by her children Stuart and Patricia Elliott, Chenango Bridge; Susan Bohn, Nimmonsburg; five grandchildren, Ryan Wall (Bathshua), Abigail (Jared) Kress, Hannah (Harold Jones, V) Elliott, Ethan (Erin) Elliott, and Grace (Cody) Jacobs; sister-in-law, Thelma Davis; one niece Esther Lynn Skeans; two nephews, Mark and David Elliott; and six great grandchildren, Jacob and Isla Kress, Julian, Eva, and Brian Wall and Waylon Jacobs; plus one on the way. Norma was born in Richmond, Virginia on September 26, 1933. She was a fifty year member of the Community Baptist Church in Port Dickinson serving as a Sunday School teacher for many years. Upon her husband’s retirement, she and Ashton traveled extensively across the US. They were also long time members of the Shuffling Shoes Square Dance Club. Being a skilled seamstress, Norma made many colorful square dance dresses for the ladies of the club. During her latter years, she enjoyed the company of the morning breakfast crew at McDonald’s and “Lunch Brunch” at Wendy’s. Finally, Norma would certainly say her most significant achievement was hiking the trails of the Catskill Mountains as well as segments of the Appalachian Trail with Ashton. Her John Marshall HS Class Class of 1952 Reunions in Richmond were always special to her.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 Friday May 30 at the Community Baptist 743 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson. Burial will follow at Chenango Valley Cemetery, Hillcrest. A luncheon will be held at the church following the burial. The family will receive friend at the church from 10:00-10:50 am. Please sign her guestbook at www.HEFUNERALHOME.com
