Patricia Ann O'Brien, 77, passed away March 28, 2025. She is survived by her children Melissa (Jeffrey) Packer and Michael (Kimberly) O'Brien; 4 grandchildren Audrey Packer, Cameron, Nathan and Clare O'Brien; her siblings Micle Taylor, Karen Plis, Susan Nagle and John Taylor; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her beloved husband of 49 years, Donald O'Brien; parents Maro and Effie Taylor; grandsons Evan and Jonathan Packer and a brother Jim Taylor. Patricia was born and raised in Auburn, New York. She actively supported her late husband Don in his endeavors with the YMCA and volunteered with the Boy Scouts of America, in many capacities over the years. Her professional career began as a secretary at the Auburn Community College. After moving to Binghamton she worked as a secretary at Broome Community College, for many years until her retirement. She enjoyed bowling, golfing and camping with her family. She was a die-hard NY Yankees fan and was a season ticket holder for the BU Bearcats basketball team. She was also an avid BINGO player and a parishioner at St. James Church in Johnson City.
Family and close friends are invited to attend graveside burial service 11:00 am Saturday May 24, 2025 at Vestal Hills Memorial Park, Vestal Rd. Vestal. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested you honor Patricia's memory with a donation to the charity of your own choosing.
