Ronald J. Nabinger, 82, died March 6, 2021. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Connie Nabinger and their children; Chris (Kathy) Nabinger of Binghamton, Sarah (Sue Backes) Nabinger of Vestal, and David Nabinger (Sara Cordaro Phillips) of Rochester, NY, 2 grandchildren Jason and Jadelynn, two sisters, Carol (John) Kulp of Endwell and Judy Travis of Chenango Forks, nieces and nephews. Ron was predeceased by his parents Warren and Greta and brother Richard. Ron served in the U.S. Army from 1958-64 and was a member of the American Legion. He received his Bachelors in Technology from SUNY Binghamton and worked as an engineer at Link Aviation for 30 years. Ron was a dedicated lifelong member of the Boy Scouts of America. He served locally as a Troop and District Leader and was very active at Camp Tuscarora where he served as Camp Master and was in charge of camp security for 15 years. He was a charter member of the Camp Tuscarora Alumni Association, a member of the Order of the Arrow and a recipient of its Vigil of Honor. He was also awarded the Silver Beaver Award from the Baden-Powell Council, BSA.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 - 5:00 pm Tuesday at the Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home, 483 Chenango St. Binghamton. Funeral services will be private. Burial will be in Floral Park Cemetery in the Spring. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the Camp Tuscarora Alumni Association, 205 Summit Rd. Windsor, NY 13865.
