Sandra Drake

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing. (2 Timothy 4:7-8 NKJV).

 Sandra "Crazy Gramma" Drake, 80, peacefully went to be with her LORD on January 11,2023, with family by her side. She was predeceased by her mother Mary Burchell and father Harold Tucker; siblings Edna Stack and Margaret Croucher; grandchildren Eric McCormack, Crystal Maynard and Shawn Shaw; beloved pets Babe and Hopi. She is survived by her children Sheri Lindsey, William McCormack, Colleen McCormack (Jim), Marie Jones (Rodney), and Barbara Brown (Ezra, Lori, Kim); siblings Shirley Clark, Dorothy Bors, & John Burchell (Maggie); 31 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, and her fur-baby Oliver.

She was a lover of nature, animals, and her grandchildren. She found herself most happy out in the field on a farm, with her House of Prayer Church family, or crafting with one of the young ones. One of her favorite stories to tell is when she rescued a goat from the side of the highway by putting it in the back seat of the car. She worked as a nurse’s aide in many facilities in the area. She believed people deserved dignity as their lives ended.
