Scott M. Fletcher, 51, died October 14, 2025 at his home. Scott was an incredibly talented guitarist, performing under the name "Pinecone" Fletcher. Throughout his lifetime he played guitar professionally and for his own pleasure with numerous groups, both locally and nationally. He even auditioned with the Red Hot Chili Peppers to become their new guitarist. Scott was the owner of Panda Records Recording Studio and was also a skilled guitar builder best known for his Hobo King Guitars, which are played by musicians across the globe. He is survived by his beloved parents, Michael and Donna Fletcher; his brother Michael Fletcher, Jr.; his "son" Gabriel Wright: aunt Linda Lee; uncle Robert Fletcher; a special cousin Shaun Vonlagen; and several other cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Helen Hunter and Margaret and Raymond Lewis; aunts Gail Silfee, JoAnn Smith and Beverly Fletcher; and uncle William Lewis.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Monday at the Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home, 483 Chenango St. Binghamton. Burial will follow in Chenango Valley Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 3:00-5:00 pm.
