Slavyan Ponizhaylo Obituary

Slavyan Ponizhaylo, 83, died Sept. 8,. 2020. He is survived by his wife Nadezdha, his children; Bogand (Nadezhda), Volodia (Tamara), Peter (Inna) and Diana, 15, grandchildren, 19, great-grandchildren.

Slavyan was born Ukraine and emigrated to the United States, settling in the Binghamton area. He was a master carpenter, having worked for Northeast United, LLC, in Windsor before his retirement. He was a faithful member of the Binghamton First Ukrainian Pentecostal Church.
Family and friends will gather at the church from 9:30-10:00 am on Friday. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in Spring Forest Cemetery.
