Stark W. Smith

Stark W. Smith, 90, went to be with the Lord November 14, 2024. The son of Robert E. Smith and Evelyn Stark Smith, he was born in Uniondale, PA in 1934 and graduated from Sidney High School in 1952. He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Sheila Gerig Smith, his four daughters; Sue Fehrer and her husband Jim, Stephanie "Tassie" Frieje and her husband Mark, Laurie Hubik and her husband Daniel, Kari Randall and her husband Norm; as well as 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Stark descended from the Pilgrims that helped establish the first American colonies in 1620 via the Mayflower. He was a hard-working, intelligent, honest, straightforward man with a strong dedication to love, protect and provide for his family. His preferred place to be was always nature. Stark was a Civil Engineer for the N.Y. State DOT.
