Steven H. Solomon was born in Brooklyn, NY on 8/1/1945 and died in Binghamton, NY on 4/1/2021.
He was the son of Martha Weinstein and Louis Solomon. Steve was born with both physical and mental handicaps that limited his abilities. This did not stop him from being an outstanding employee for the Lakewood Public Works Department for over 30 years. He worked on the back of a garbage truck until his body started giving out and he would still be there today if it didn’t. He was an astute baseball scholar, loved watching pro wrestling and loved his cats, especially Taga and Ridge. Steve was never married, had no children, and had no family members left once his mom passed. In his later years, Steve adopted the Hill family to care for him. He called Heidi Hill mom and he was a very good son. He thought God had blessed him but in reality it was the Hill family who were blessed. As per Steve’s wishes, he made it a point to donate his body parts to whoever was in need of them.
