Sylvia Hemenway Obituary

Sylvia Hemenway, 76, passed away September 12, 2022. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Robert; her children Robin (Brian) Hemenway-Beavan and Scott (Coleen) Hemenway; grandchildren Stefanie Willette, Rachel Lopez and Jered Hemenway; great-grandchildren Braydon, Abigail and Cami; sister Roseann Potter and brother Ronald Potter. Sylvia’s passion was her family, she loved all of them dearly, but especially cherished her relationship with her first-born grandchild Stefanie. Sylvia was a retired secretary from Binghamton University. She enjoyed the many trips she took with her husband, especially to to Hawaii. She was a die-hard Yankees fan and a member of the First Baptist Church of Port Crane.

A memorial service will be held 5:30 pm Thursday at the First Baptist Church of Port Crane, 38 Canal St., Port Crane. Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to the American Heart Association. The Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home is assisting the family.
