Tara-Danae Yeomans

After a year-long heroic battle bravely fought with breast cancer, Tara-Danae Yeomans, 44,  passed away peacefully at her home, October 28, 2025, surrounded by loving family. Tara was preceded in death by her beloved father Jack Terry Yeomans in 2013 and her Godfather John McVicker in 2025. She is survived by the greatest joy in her life, her son Salvatore Gabriel (Yeomans) Gaska; her devoted mother, Lucretia (Cree) Yeomans; cherished siblings, Corinne (David) Curtis and Joel Yeomans; a niece Londyn; nephews Jack, Deacon and Kainen; her Godmother Connie McVicker; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and the many children whose lives she touched through the PACT Program

Tara was a graduate of Binghamton High School Class of 1999, Broome Community College and Grand Canyon University.  Tara was also a passionate daily runner for many years. 

Tara had a passion for family and children, inspired in part by her mother and grandmother and their large family. All of her professional career was dedicated to improving the lives of area children, beginning with her first job as head of the afterschool program at Port Dickinson Elementary School while attending BCC. After graduation she worked for the Boys and Girls Club of Binghamton. until leaving to take a position as a Certified Parent Educator for the Binghamton City School District; a position she held for over 19 years, where she made a difference in the lives of countless children. 

The greatest joy though in her life is her son Salvatore. She cherished all the time spent with him and worked tirelessly and sacrificially to provide the best for him.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 am Tuesday at the Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home, 483 Chenango St. Binghamton. Burial will follow in Chenango Valley Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 4:00-6:00 pm.
