Theresa Marie Yajko

She is survived by her husband Ben Gilbert of Greene; her parents Robert and Diane Yajko of Binghamton; siblings Steven Yajko, Tony (Teal) Yajko, all of Binghamton and Mary Yajko of Portland, OR; nieces and nephews Ryan, Ashley, Calvin, Aiden and Owen; several aunts, uncles, cousins and a large circle of best friends including special friends Jenn, Susie and Britt. She was predeceased by her aunt Julie Cizenski.   Theresa made friends easily and went the extra mile for everyone, so much so that she was a best friend and most important person to countless people. She had a bright smile and a strong passion for life, with a creative nature she expressed through her art. Theresa gave back to her community by serving as a volunteer firefighter with the Greene Fire Department where she currently was serving as department President.
  The family will receive friends from 2-4 pm Sunday at the Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home, 483 Chenango St. Binghamton. A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Monday at the funeral home.
