Volodymyr Shelestovsky

Volodymyr Shelestovsky, 64, of Apalachin, NY went to be with the Lord on April 14th, 2025 after a two-year battle with cancer. He remained in the comfort of his home, with his loving wife always by his side. Volodymyr is survived by his wife of 42 years, Halyna; his children Irina (Artem), Ivan (Inna), Solomiya (Bohdan), Maria (Viktor); his grandchildren Sofia, Jonathan, Daniella, James; brother Igor and mother Dana. He was predeceased by his son Oleg and his father Ivan.

Volodymyr was a devoted father of five, a loving husband, and a proud grandfather who led his family with faith, kindness and wisdom. His deep love for God was evident in the way he served faithfully in his church and how he lived his life. Through his unwavering devotion, he left a legacy of love, service and faith that continues to inspire all who knew him.

His funeral service will be held at 6:30 pm Friday April 18 at the First Ukrainian Pentecostal Church, 143 Castle Creek Rd, Binghamton, NY 13901. Burial service will be held the following morning at 10:00 am in Spring Forest Cemetery.
