Winifred Wacendak

Winifred Wacendak, 93, passed away peacefully on April 1st 2024 at Binghamton General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Andrew Wacendak, with whom she spent 55 wonderful years of marriage. She worked for the Endicott-Johnson Shoe Company, but her true passion was taking care of her family. She always made sure that everyone had a homecooked meal, a homemade birthday cake, and celebrated every holiday with beautifully decorated cookies. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her parents Harry and Stephanie Harrington, sister Betty Markoff, and brother Harry Harrington. Winnie is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Andrew and Lisa Wacendak, son Dr. John Wacendak; grandchildren Emilee (Kyle) Walbert, Allison (Austin) Lewis, Andrea (Mohamad) Saloukha, and Andrew John Wacendak (Rebecca Campf); great-grandchildren Landon, Matthew, and Harrison, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Saturday, April 6th at Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home, 483 Chenango St, Binghamton, NY, Fr. Dennis Ruda officiating. Burial will follow at Kattelville Cemetery.   Visiting hours are from 9:00 – 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Mercy House at 212 N McKinley Ave Endicott, NY 13760.
