Dear Norma, Stuart and Susan
We Virginia friends remember all the good times we had at JMHS with Norma and Ashton. Ashton was so handsome in his Cadet uniform. We send our love and prayers to all of the family. Stay strong, Norma.

I have always been proud of my Cousin Ashton. When my third son was born in 1972, we chose "Ashton" for his middle name. Ashton's mother and my mother were sisters. They wrote letters to each other frequently, as long as they lived. My aunt Georgia's (weekly?) letters were always filled with news of A.L.'s and Ashton's adventures and accomplishments. When Ashton was in the U.S. Navy, and I was 5 or 6 years old, one of those letters contained a pretty, lacy hanky embroidered with the Navy emblem. It was for ME. I am 72 now, and I STILL have it! Sending my love to Norma, Stuart, Susan and family. Norma and Ashton were made for each other.

I remember Ashton from when I worked in Publications at Link. He was a strong and very positive influence there. I live near the trail, in Virginia now and still think of Ashton whenever I cross the trail or see signs for it.

I worked with Patty as well. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
