Welcome
The Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home is a family owned and operated funeral home serving families in Binghamton and the surrounding areas since 1936. We are held in high regard for the compassionate and highly personalized service we provide to our friends and neighbors in our community.

In 2013 we are pleased to commemorate 77 years of service to the greater Binghamton area. We have recently completed extensive interior and exterior renovations to our facility enabling us to better meet the needs of the families we serve and we have plans to continue making additional improvements throughout the year ahead.
Our staff is knowledgeable in a broad range of religious and cultural traditions and can provide any service that honors the life and values of those we serve. Over the years, Kurt Eschbach has had occasion to assist in providing services to over 4,000 families of all backgrounds. He has experience and knowledge of the customs associated with all branches of Christianity and Judaism and is experienced in providing traditional Buddhist, Sikh and Hindu ceremonies, as well as secular non-religious services.
We welcome you to compare our service, facilities and prices with other funeral homes. We are fully confident that upon comparison, you will make Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home your new family tradition.
Kurt M. Eschbach
Funeral Director & Owner
A brief biography: I am a native of Johnson City and have been a licensed funeral director since 1989. I spent many years working for another Binghamton funeral home before leaving the area in 2000 to work in a family owned funeral home just outside of New York City. In 2009, I returned to Binghamton and purchased this funeral home from the Hopler family and promptly began to renovate the property to better meet the needs of the families we serve. Believing it is my duty to do for others, I have always been an active member of the community, serving as a volunteer with many social, fraternal and cultural organizations. It is my pleasure to return home to Binghamton to continue to serve the community that five generations of my family has called home. Thank you for making us your new family tradition.
