George Stasko

George Stasko, age 92, passed away April 21, 2024 at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Johnson City, NY.  He was predeceased by his parents Michael and Emelia Stasko; Lucille (Shults) Stasko wife of 53 years; son-in-law Jeffrey Creveling; and siblings Julia, Irene, Emelia, Mary, Olga, Michael, Nicholas, Walter, John, Andrew and Peter.  He is survived by his daughters Rebecca J. Creveling and Ellen Stasko Baxendale; grandchildren Tristan and Victoria Baxendale, and Cody Creveling; many God children, nieces, nephews, several sisters-in-laws and friends.  

 George grew up the son of Ukrainian immigrant parents and graduated from Johnson City High School.  He served in the Korean Conflict, and attained the rank of Technical Sergeant, and was honorably discharged. He worked for over 30 years in the photo lab at IBM Endicott; it was at IBM that he met Lucille.  George took pride in growing family heirloom garlic that originally came from Ulucz, Ukraine 100 years ago.  He was happiest working his garden and sharing his produce. George will be greatly missed.  May your memories of George fill the void his passing has created.  Memory Eternal!

 A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Friday June 7, 2024 at the Endwell United Methodist Church 3301 Watson Blvd, Endwell, NY where he was a long time member. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 am. Burial and Military Honors to follow at Riverhurst Cemetery 2500 E.Main St, Endwell, NY.
