I met Charles last year when I presented him with a certificate from the American Legion for 70 years continuous service to the American Legion Post 758. During my brief visit with Charles, I experienced his jovial disposition and great sense of humor. We talked about his time in the Navy and he shared his favorite jokes with me. I am blessed to have spent some quality time with this man.

Charlie was always telling jokes. It didn't matter if you heard it several times before, you always listened with great anticipation for the ending each time. The joy on his face after telling a joke was well worth the repeat. We will all miss him as we do Helen. Two wonderful friends.

I am very sad to learn of Uncle Chuck's passing. Uncle Chuck was always helpful to me and I enjoyed visiting him when I returned to the area. While I won't be there for his funeral, I will visit him (& Aunt Helen) at Christmas. Rest in Peace Uncle Chuck.
