Sandra L. Perry, 76, of Port Crane, NY arrived at our Father’s House of Many Mansions on September 7, 2016.  Angels escorted her into the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ and she joined her parents, Leonard A. and Elizabeth (Betty) M. Croft and her favorite Aunt Laura.  Sandy goes before her loving and devoted husband, Donald L. Perry, brother Leon (Dora) Croft, sons Dayle (Henry), Anthony, and Donald (Sara), grandchildren Rebecca, Rachel, Christopher, Kaylee, Kelsey, Sandra (Brandon), Elizabeth (Alex), and David (Makayla), and her great grandson, Keegan.  She is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.  Her latest joys were her first granddaughter Elizabeth’s wedding, as well as the arrival of her first great-grandson, Keegan.  Sandy’s passions were her faith, her marriage, her family, her home, and her friends.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Port Crane, where for several years she and her friend, Florence Baxter and other ladies hosted all of the church’s social events.  She and Alice DeAnjou co-founded the Sidetrackers Chapter of NYS Home Bureau in the Sanitaria Springs area, sharing the importance of the roles of Wife and Mother.  As her sons, we were treated to chocolate chip cookies just about every day after school.  She must have made more cookies than Keebler or Nestle!  The cookie jar was seldom empty!  After dinner each night Mom usually had more than one choice of home-made desserts.   Even the Pastor knew Mom baked on Tuesdays.  We were so blessed to have a stay-at-home Mom!  Together Don and Sandy enjoyed 30 years of retirement, travelling the US, and wintering in Florida.  To her husband and sons, Sandy was steadfast in her faithfulness, love and care.  As in Proverbs, “Her children arise and call her Blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.”

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, September 12, 2016 from 9-11AM, immediately followed by the funeral at 11AM in the First Baptist Church of Port Crane, Canal St. Port Crane, NY.  Interment to follow at the Port Crane Cemetery with her Pastor, Rev. Daniel C. Baker officiating.  In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks that you make contributions to the charity of your choice or the First Baptist Church of Port Crane. Arrangements are by Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home, 483 Chenango St. Binghamton, NY.
