He is survived by his children; Elizabeth (Ken) Kalmanowicz, Kenneth (Kathy) Hottenstein, David (Tami) Hottenstein, Marjorie Hottenstein, Donald (Pam) Kinstler, Russell Stevens and Nicholas Stevens, 14 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, his sister Janet Tomasak and brother William Hottenstein, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by the love of his life and wife Venita,  his former wives Karen and Regina who was the mother of his children, and two sisters Noelwah Netusil and Betty Jane Jacobs.  Ken and Venita enjoyed hosting family and friends at their cottage at Sandy Pond, Lake Ontario. A natural athlete, he was an avid golfer, hitting two hole-in-ones in the same week and also organized and participated in several golf leagues. He enjoyed skiing, especially ski trips to Vermont, refereeing college volleyball, and playing pinochle. He also helped organize and participate in the NY Senior Games. He was a retiree of IBM and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm Friday at the Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home, 483 Chenango St. Binghamton Funeral services will be 10:00 am Saturday. Due to  Covid-19 related gathering restrictions, in person attendance on Saturday is by invitation only. Friends are invited to watch the funeral via live stream. He will be buried with military honors in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice
