Barbara J. (Schloss) Skinner

On March 12, 2021, an angel came down from Heaven and took me by the hand and said "It is time to go home now."  Barbara J. Skinner, 96, is survived by her children Karen (Carl) Chase, Brent (Kathy) Skinner, daughters-in-law Sharyn and Ruth Skinner, 8 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, her sister Julia (Leroy) Chamberlin, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Donald, sons Gail and Ronald,  grandsons Christopher and James, sisters Carol Higley, Ruth Butts and her brother Marvin Schloss. She was a faithful member of the Community Baptist Church since 1943, singing in the church choir and serving on many committees. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and crocheting. Most of all though she was devoted to her family and her church.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Tuesday at the Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home, 483 Chenango St. Binghamton. A memorial service will be held 11 am Wednesday at the Community Baptist Church, 743 Chenango St. Port Dickinson. Burial will be in Walton Cemetery in the spring.
