David Jones Obituary

Berkshire: David Roderick Jones, 58, son of Timothy R. and Sharon E. (Carney) Jones passed away April 15, 2022 in Owego, NY. A native of Olean, NY, David attended school in Newark Valley, NY and joined the Marine Corps in 1981. During his time as a Marine he served on the U.S.S. Saratoga (CV-60) in the Mediterranean as an aviation mechanic working on the Grumman A-6 Intruder aircraft. His love of aviation continued after service as he became a pilot as well as opening David Jones Aircraft Services at the Cortland County Airport (N03). Despite his own struggles, David was always willing to help any friend in need. He is survived by his parents; Timothy and Sharon Jones; his siblings Jeffrey and Eileen; nephews Matthew and Joshua along with extended members of the Jones and Carney families.
