Dorothy Briggs Obituary

Dorothy (Dottie) L. Briggs, 80, of Binghamton, NY entered into heaven on May 25, 2022. She passed away at her home, surrounded by family, after a brief battle with liver cancer. Dorothy was predeceased by her mother, Muriel Leiser. She is survived by her children and their spouses: Ginger and Kevin Blair, Penny and Tim Keyes, and Chris and Kendra Briggs, four grandchildren: Jescelle, Joshua, Chelsea, and Danielle, three (plus) great grandchildren: Caleb, Aria, and Reagan who will all miss Bumblebee Gramma, and soon-to-be Baby Connor, two brothers and their spouses: Richard and Sachiko Day, and Donald and Sylvia Day, as well as many nieces and nephews, who so loved their Crazy Nutty Aunt Dorothy. Dottie also leaves many long term dear friends. Dorothy retired after several decades of dedicated service with Singer Link (Kirkwood) and Stow Manufacturing (Binghamton). Dottie was a Binghamton Central High School graduate, and a Reverand for the Universal Church of the Master. She was an avid online gamer, as well as an award winning ceramist. She loved spending time with her family, dancing, and was a true fashionista, old school, complete with long gloves and large hats. She will be dearly missed.
