Gerald (J.W.) William Warren, 83, passed away at his home Tuesday July 27, 2021. He is survived by his beloved family; his wife of 49 years, Adelle; their children Fr. Michael Warren, O.M.V., of Boston, MA, Timothy Warren, of Endicott, and Katrina Warren of Conklin; 5 grandchildren Connell, Jeremy, Naucika, Jaiden and Madyson; 2 great-grandchildren Sidney and Kaidynce, 1 niece and 3 nephews. He was predeceased by his parents John Warren and Catherine (Kane) Warren and his sister Kathleen Weeks.
J.W. was born in Binghamton, NY. After graduating high school he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. After discharge from the Navy he returned to Binghamton and began working for Rocco J. Testani, retiring at the age of 80 with over 50 years of service.
A devout Catholic, he was a member of St. Paul's Church in Binghamton. He attended St. Paul's School and played on it's basketball team. He ensured that all of his children received a proper Catholic education and he faithfully wore his brown scapular.
He enjoyed golf and baseball and was a loyal fan of the Dodgers from from Brooklyn to Los Angeles. He was an avid race fan and bowler, bowling for the Rocco J. Testani team and others during his lifetime.
He will be most remembered as a loving and protective husband, father and grandfather. He will be deeply missed.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated by his Son, Father Michael Warren, OMV at 10:00 am Thursday at St. Paul's Church, 282 Chenango St. Binghamton. He will be buried with Military Honors in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City.
