John Warren Layton

John Warren Layton, 52 of Port Crane died May 31, 2022. He is survived by his Daughter Christina M.A. Bartlett and her husband Christopher and their children, Nicholas, Brandyn and Brenden he is survived by his daughter Theresa L. Layton and her fiancé Brian and their children; Luigi, Riley, Marcus, Marcellus, Mariah, Damian, and Julia. His adopted son Preston Mejia. His sister Darcy Polhamus Maza and her husband Diego. Nieces and nephews, Christian, Noah, Nathan aka “Nater-Tatter”, Courtney and her husband Ryker and their children Holden, Hadlee, Finley. And his two brothers Jason and Justin Babcock. Close friends, Rich and Marilyn Buckland, Pete McNally, Ryan Sperry, Trapper and Jamie Archer, Todd Linn. He was predeceased by his parents Maryanne Ryell and Harold Babcock along with his brothers; Wendell “Sonny” Layton and Kevin Layton he is also predeceased by his feline friend, Mama Mae. John worked for many years at Syracuse China as well as working construction and other jobs. He loved family outings and creating memories with his family. He also loved riding 4-wheelers, John was a part of several 4 wheeler groups who would join him on trail rides. A group ride on July 2nd will be held to celebrate his life.
