Linda J Leonard

Linda Jean (Vergason) Leonard, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2023 in her home. She is survived by her life partner Richard Gillette; brother and sister-in-law Daniel and Marian Vergason; niece and nephew Amy Berk and Scott Vergason; four great nieces and nephews Joshua and Hailyn Berk, Eli and Alexandra Vergason and her best friend, Maryann Babcock. She was predeceased by her parents Vernon and Hazel Vergason, and husband William Leonard.

Linda worked for many years at Chenango Valley School District as a janitor. She was a member of the Broad Avenue North Presbyterian Church, she loved both God and her country. She loved horses, and had a horse she took a special liking to named Sabol. She also loved her cat, Mickey. Linda was an amazing and fun-loving person who had an extraordinary ability to make people laugh.

There will be a graveside service at Vestal Hills Memorial Park Tuesday, June 13 at 11:00am.
