Marjorie Aldrich, age 90, passed away peacefully into the arms of her Lord on Wednesday October 27, 2021 at Vestal Park Nursing Center with her family by her side. She is survived by her loving husband of 71 years, Richard, son Douglas, daughter Sandra Slodki, grandson Jeremy (Lauren) Slodki, granddaughter Jenelle Slodki (fiance Chris O'Toole) and great grandsons Hudson and Griffin Slodki. She was predeceased by her son in law Marty Slodki and grandson Peter Slodki. Marjorie was a life long member of the First Presbyterian Church of Johnson City where she served on the Board of Deacons and was also the Financial Secretary for many years. Marjorie was also employed at the Floyd Bell Elementary School cafeteria, where her baking skills were enjoyed by many. She was a very devoted wife, mother and grandmother who had a smile that lit up her entire face and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at Vestal Park Nursing Center for their loving care and support.
The family will receive friends at Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home 483 Chenango Street, Binghamton on Thursday November 4th from 10:00 am - 10:50 am, followed by a memorial service at 11 am. Burial will be at Chenango Valley Cemetery.
