Bear with me as it has taken almost a year and a half to pen something resembling an obituary for my youngest child.
I write this not for those who knew her, because they have their own memories to cling to, but for those who didn't. There are times in life when a soul is just too precious to grace this world for the long run. She was simply too sweet to stay any longer.
There once was a girl named Parker Rose. She was athletic and strong. She was a voice for the underdog and a leader for the lost. Her heart was a safe haven for all. Her faith was unwavering, my little Christian, Budist hippie. She tended to be quiet, not in a shy way, but with a wisdom beyond her years.
Her sister Mckenna and her brother Grayson were her "built in" best friends. They helped shape who she became. With the strength and resilience only a single parent can understand, she excelled at her role and made a home where love and laughter were abound. Her friends were like family to her. Her life is a legacy to the person I strive to be.
Her father Brian and I Michele, hold the memory of her close as we prepare each day with the greatest gift we have ever received, out sweet Zaire. Although her life was short, she truly made an impact on every life that was fortunate enough to know her. For those who have been loved, their spirit resides in out hearts forever.
