Richard P. Dundon, Jr.

  Richard P. Dundon Jr., 62 of Kirkwood, NY It is with heart-filled sadness that Rich Dundon, Professional Truck Driver for Lineage Corporation passed away on the morning of Wednesday June 29, 2022, surrounded by the love of his family, after a brave, two-month battle with cancer.  Rich is survived by his wife, Laurie J. Dundon, son, Derrick Dundon and Derrick’s fiancée, Elizabeth Lawson, daughter, Nicole R. Blanchard, grandchildren, Riley & Brionna Blanchard, mother, Carolyn Dundon, sister and brother-in-law, Teresa and Steven Halladay, brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Sherri Dundon, sister, Elizabeth Compton, father and mother-in-law, Ronald and Rosalie Steele, brother and sister-in-law, Timothy and Julie Steele, and many nieces and nephews who meant the world to him.  Rich is preceded in death by his father, Richard P. Dundon Sr., and sister, Renee Frost.  Rich was most recently employed with Lineage Corporation; however, he began his career as a CDL Truck Driver with 7-UP Corporation, then A.L. George LLC for several years before becoming a Railroad Engineer for Norfolk Southern Railroad.  Rich took great pride in his work and the friendships and interpersonal relationships he developed as a result of his employment.  When Rich wasn’t on the road, he loved family gatherings and celebrations, snowmobiling, driving his 2009 Hemi Challenger with the classic-rock turned up, and adventures to find the best-of-the-best in foods!  If it was mouth-wateringly delicious, Rich knew where it could be found!  Rich lived life to the fullest the best way he could and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.    Rich’s family would like to extend a warm and loving Thank you to Lineage Corporation for their caring and support throughout Rich’s difficult journey.  We are honored beyond words by all you have done.  You are in our hearts forever.  Thank you!  A private viewing and funeral service will be held on Tuesday July 5, 2022, at Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home by invitation.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Rich to The Children’s Miracle Network.
