Robert Bigart Obituary

Robert J. Bigart, 82, died peacefully at his home on May 1, 2022. He is survived by his beloved family; his wife of 52 years, Sharon Kane Bigart; their daughter Kim Marie Fish; grandchildren Dylan Thomas Fish and Taylor Anne Fish;  several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents John and Edith Bigart and his sister Patricia Launkitis. Bob served in the U.S. Army, stationed at Okinawa and formerly worked at William H. Lane Construction as a Technical Engineer. He was a member of American Legion Post 1305. He was a kind and considerate man with a great sense of humor. He enjoyed bowling, grocery shopping. taking vacation cruises and was a prolific reader of fiction. He will be best remembered as a good father, husband and grandfather.
There will be no public services. Cremation arrangements were provided by the Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home, 483 Chenango St. Binghamton.
