She was my favorite teacher and I feel fortunate to have been in her class. I have made a hard copy of her obituary and will read it often. Through this she will continue to "teach" me how to live, even into the future.

Although I never had the honor of knowing Betty, I do know that all the wonderful things written about her is evidenced by my best friend, and one of the nieces she raised, D'Arcy Downs Vollbracht.

From a former student, Ms. O'Connor was a great teacher and a fantastic person. She was a class act. My deepest sympathies go out to her family at this most difficult time.
