My deepest condolences to all in Joan's family. I was Joan's newspaper carrier in the 1960's and have known Joan ever since. I visited her and her cats several times a year and ended up adopting 3 kittens from her 2 years ago. I last saw Joan just before Christmas 2014 and she was her usual outgoing and caring self. Her family, those in the neighborhood, and her beloved cats will miss her dearly. Her loss affects and saddens all of us.

We would talk for a while, each time. She'll be missed. Her stray cats will definitely miss her; including the neighbor cats she always fed & took care of, too. May she Rest in Peace.
