It was a blessing to have known you for almost 30 years. We shared so many good times together. Thank you Joe for being such a good friend. You were a hard working, good hearted man. You made a difference in a lot of lives, that I don't have to list, they know who they are. I look forward to seeing you on the other side. Wait for me my friend. Bring beer. <3

On a whim I looked you guys up and saw the tragic post of Joe's passing. I offer my condolences to all of you. It has been over 40 years since I've seen any of you on Burr Ave but I still carry many great memories of your family. I still remember with fondness the parties My mom and Sharon had at both of our residences. We knew how to live back then with yago sangria on ice and Neil Dimond on the record player, and I'm glad to have been a part of that. I'm sad to hear of Joey's passing. I remember one day at Ben Franklin elementary school he stuck up for me when to dorks were picking on me. He bitch slapped both of them silly. It empowered me and as I grew up I learned to fight back and that's at least partly because of him and the rest of your family. You guys took no shit and I eventually became the same. Of course having a crazy father as I did helped too lol. Politically correct or not it is a memory I've carried with me for 40 years. P.S. Sue you ruined my life. I was so in love with you as a child I was never able to find a woman who was as beautiful as you and as a result I was never able to find a woman to marry. It's true though I had many girlfriends I could never find my Sue. You made me a brunette lover And I can't stop! The night oh so many years ago you and Becky Ammerman babysat me still occupies space in my mind. I was only 8 or 9 but it ruined me when you put me to bed that night and you let me kiss you on the cheek. One of the best moments of my life to this day. You will always be the one who has my heart.Sorry to get off the subject of Joe because I'm am truly saddened by the news. But how often do you get the chance to tell your dream girl what she meant to you.
If any of you ever want to talk My number is (321)458-3160

We all had a lot of fun, even though it wasn't always fun sometimes. But with Joe it was NEVER boring. We grew apart, but we could always count on each other. We've missed his friendship.

To The DiLuzio Family,
We are so sorry to hear about Joe's passing, will remember all the fun times on the south side- Burr Ave/Pierce Creek Rd - southside park, growing up. He was such a sweet, fun soul and enjoyed talking to him in later years, especially about all his gardening secrets.(peppers, tomatoes, etc). Please know you are all in our thoughts and prayers.
