To the Matthews Family,
We were deeply saddened to learn of Lynn's death. I remember him best as I was one of his "citizens" on Pearl Ave., playing b-ball with Dean on Lynn's home court. It is amazing how closely his sons resemble him in his Marine Corp. photo. God bless you all.

Dear family and friends of Lynn,
Lynn and I go back a few years. Probably none of you have heard of me, but when I heard of his passing I went up in our attic in Choconut, PA and found my first grade picture. Just as I remembered. There he was in the first grade picture at Benjamin Franklin school. That was a few years ago. Since then I have attended the times at the Relief Pitcher, that he always sat at the front door and called me by name even though we had not seen each other for decades. While he was in Korea I spent three years in Japan.
I will not be able to attend any of the services because we have a grandson that
is playing in a basketball tournament. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Mrs. Matthews, Lynn, Lisa, Dean and the Matthews family - We know how hard it is to say so-long to our fathers and the very strong foundations of our families. But be proud of the wonderful people that you are and the legacy that you will carry on for him. Our dads didn't always know how to show it, but they loved us deeply. That love will live on in all of you.

Our sincere friendship and love to you all. Semper Fi.

Love,
Emily, David, Andrew and Alex Arbes
