I got to know Mary through the Perpetual Adoration Chapel as I was one of the coordinators. She was such a sweet lady, so prayerful and just so dependable to her time in the chapel. Anything she said she would do, you knew it would be taken care of. She was very special lady and also very special to me. I thank the Lord for having made her a part of my life.
Please accept my sincere sympathy and know that you all are in my thoughts and prayers. Mary Barton, Liverpool, NY

After a long, fruitful life of love, faith, and incredible service, I know that Mary is resting in the arms of her beloved Saviour. May the knowledge that she is at peace at last be a consolation to all those who love and miss her.

What a terrific lady and neighbor. I am saddened indeed to learn of her passing. I made Mary's acquaintance circa 1972 at the Patio Restaurant in the old Grand Way where she waitressed and I was a busboy. I remember her husband John would often pick her up after work. I had not seen her for a great many years, though I would occasionally run into some of her children. A very fine family for which Mary certainly deserves no small credit. If there be a heaven, she is most assuredly there. – Tony Tersmette

Very sorry to read of Mom Havel's passing. May the Good Lord bestow His comfort to you all at this difficult time. I have not seen her in many years but I will miss her.
God Bless,

My thoughts are with you all -- as I remember Mary as my Cub Scout Den Mother in 1964 ! I was previously on Yale St as some of you may recall.
What a great lady Mary was. She actually appears to look much the same as when I knew her as a young kid ! Bruce Potter / St Pete , Florida
