I'm very sorry for your loss. It was a great privilege to serve with Bob in the National Guard. He was clear thinking, easy going, yet firm when needed, and had a great sense of humor. We will miss him.

Dear Barton Family,
I am sorry to hear of your loss. I will always remember Mr. Barton as one of my favorite people from my days working at the credit union. He always wore a smile, and he had a great sense of humor.
... I smile when I think of his sons affectionately calling him "Homer".
You all are in our thoughts and prayers.

To Mary and the Barton family,

We would like to say we were sorry to hear about the passing of our neighbor Bob.We will always be remembered for his great smile and laugh and his love of joking around. When we drove by his house he would always have a friendly wave while sitting in the chair out front of his home.We remember talking to him when he and Mary use to attend the Sunday breakfast at the Kirkwood VFW. He always had a story or would be laughing about something. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time. I am sure you will keep his memory alive by telling many wonderful stories of the great times you shared as a family.Cherish those memories. They will last forever. Jim and Judy Sheridan and sons John and Jimmy and their families.

Mary Lou and the entire family - After the tears have dried and the goodbyes have been said, all we have to hold onto are the happy memories that we’ve shared with our loved ones who have passed, this is what keeps them alive in our hearts and in our minds, and they will continue to live on, through us. This is what we remember every day after Don passes away back in December of 2012. Our condolences on the passing of my brother-in-law, and Uncle to my children. From Jeanette Barton... Tracey, Linda, Donald Jr. and their families.

To Mary and all of the Barton Family, I am deeply saddened by the news of Bob's passing. Back in the '80s, when I worked with Rob at Sunset Lanes, I spent a fair bit of time at the house and was always made to feel welcome. I cared a great deal for Rob and the entire family. Life took us in different directions over time, and I only saw Rob a few times from the time I left Sunset until his untimely passing. I have subsequently met his daughter Becca and enjoy following her and her son on Facebook. All of you, please accept my heartfelt condolences and prayers and understand that I will always remember Bob and Rob with great fondness.

We always enjoyed talking with Bob and Mary both in the neigborhood, or at Niko's Restaurant, or wherever else that we happened to meet. It was always a fun conversation.

To the entire Barton family, I send my deepest condolences on your loss.. There are so many words that can be used to describe this amazing man: but for a lot of us, the word/s that comes up most is Pops, or Dad.. He treated all of us younger generation like we were one of his own.. I will never forget all that you taught me, the times you were there for me, and there for my family.. I never truly let the words out before now, but, I love you Pops.. Your spirit will live on forever in our hearts.. R.I.P. Pops B..
