Joel E. Christian, 56, of Binghamton, passed away Sunday, July 24th after a short battle with cancer. Joel was a man of the community, he had many friends and associates. He was a hard worker, he worked for nearly thirty years without a vacation and worked through his injuries. He was known as security to many, from his time with the youth leagues to his local hangouts. Joel was a gaurdian, protecting his family and aiding strangers either in his personal or professional careers. He worked hard to provide for his family and gave all he could for his family and friends. He was known for his quirky humor, sense of adventure, kindness, and love. He is predeceased by his father Lawrence Christian, his mother Margaret Christian (maiden Conroy), and his sister Joanne Borley. Joel is survived by his fiancé Patricia Connis, his son Anthony, his brother Larry Christian, and his sister Marge Ledford (Tim). Joel is also survived by his nephew Kevin Borley, as well as his many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Megan Connis and son Owen were a very special part of his life and will be missed. Joel and his family wish to thank everyone for their support during these trying times.
